Keep Your Full Time Job and Start A Part Time Business

One of the favorite business book that I’ve read was Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I remembered when I first read the book, I could not put it down.

One thing that Robert Kiyosaki mentioned in his book, one of the best ways to achieve financial independence is to start your own business.

A lot of people may not be comfortable starting their own conventional business. The risk of failing is very high and the capital investment can be equally big as well.

That does not mean we are out of option. With the new media of the internet, there are many opportunity to start your own online home based business.

The challenge is which one to choose and how to get started. Most of the people I know that ventured into online business chose the affiliate marketing route.

When you are an affiliate, you are basically and online marketing agent for a merchant. You get paid a predetermined commission from the merchant when you make a sale.

I started my online business with affiliate marketing also. Just like in any online business, the biggest challenge is traffic generation.

Getting people to your web site is quite different compared to getting people into a brick and mortar store. Some people have trouble getting good traffic to their sites.

Luckily, if you are willing to learn, there are many teachers who are willing to teach you.

What is needed is the desire to learn and the dedication and patience to get the job done. Most people quit too soon before they get to see the fruits of their labor.

As suggested by Robert Kiyosaki in his book, “keep you full time job, but start a part time business”. A part time online home based business is quite ideal.
